LOS ANGELES -- How many Dodgers can fans vote onto the starting lineup of the National League All-Star team?

VOTE NOW: Google MLB All-Star Ballot

Since fans were given the vote, the franchise record for All-Star position starters was set in 1980 with four -- first baseman Steve Garvey, second baseman Davey Lopes, shortstop Bill Russell and outfielder Reggie Smith.

Revamped balloting began Tuesday for the 2019 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard, which will be held on Tuesday, July 9, at Progressive Field in Cleveland.

Under the new voting format, fans participate in two ways to put their favorite Dodgers in the starting lineup. And they have plenty of choices to make the 1980 record fall, with a ballot that includes Cody Bellinger, Justin Turner, Alex Verdugo, Max Muncy, Joc Pederson, Corey Seager, Enrique Hernandez and Austin Barnes.

In the outfield, Bellinger, an All-Star his rookie season of 2017, is the co-lock as an early contender for Most Valuable Player along with last year’s MVP, Milwaukee’s Christian Yelich. Pederson was an All-Star in '15 and is on pace for his fourth season with at least 25 home runs. Verdugo is in his first full MLB season and is a Rookie of the Year contender.

In the infield, Turner is bidding to return to the All-Star Game, having been a Final Vote selection in 2017. Seager, heating up after missing most of last season with injuries, was an All-Star his first two seasons. Muncy, Hernandez and Barnes are looking for their first All-Star selections.
