Bo Davidson has been showing off his pop since the calendar turned to June.

The Giants’ No. 6 prospect homered in his fourth straight game, and for the fifth time in six games in Double-A Richmond’s 6-3 loss to Erie at The Diamond. Davidson went yard in all but one game this week, plating eight runs in the series.

The 23-year-old only hit one home run with a .361 slugging percentage in May. The big production this month has catapulted his OPS for this month to 1.000. For the season, Davidson sports a slash line of .265/.310/.500, spanning 44 games.

Up to 41 homers in his pro career after the Giants signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2023, the outfielder went yard in eight games across 42 appearances for Richmond to end last season.

Davidson rose to prominence while at Caldwell Community College in North Carolina, earning the nickname of “JUCO Barry Bonds" while slashing .412/.508/.876 with 16 homers over 38 games in 2023.

He posted an .866 OPS in his first 16 professional games in the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League in 2023, then posted a pro-best slash line of .327/.437/.605 with 11 home runs and a 1.042 OPS in 63 games the next yearn between the ACL and Single-A San Jose. Davidson played a career-high 114 games last season, posting an .844 OPS between High-A Eugene and Richmond.
