History of qualifying-offer decisions

Since the qualifying offer was implemented in 2012, 157 players have received the one-year contract offer from their teams, including 13 players following the 2025 season.

Though only 18 have accepted it, a record four players -- Brandon Woodruff, Shota Imanaga, Trent Grisham and Gleyber Torres -- did so in 2025.

Here is a year-by-year breakdown of all the players who received qualifying offers. Also included are the Draft picks teams received as compensation for losing free agents who rejected qualifying offers.
