Homestand Highlights vs. San Francisco Giants (April 17-19) & Atlanta Braves (April 20-23)

The Washington Nationals return to Nationals Park for a seven-game homestand, with three games against the San Francisco Giants (April 17-19), followed by a four-game series versus the Atlanta Braves (April 20-23). The Nationals’ seven-game homestand features Military Appreciation Day, Korean Heritage Day, a City Connect Hockey Jersey giveaway, Kids Opening Day, a Kids Sleeveless Hoodie giveaway presented by Harris Teeter, and Youth Baseball and Softball Day presented by Inova.

FRIDAY, APRIL 17 vs. SAN FRANCSICO GIANTS (6:45 P.M.)

• Military Appreciation Day

  • The Nationals will honor servicemembers during Military Appreciation Day, the opening installment of the Patriotic Series.
    • The Nationals will provide two complimentary tickets for Friday’s game to active duty, dependents, veterans, retirees, reservists, National Guard and DOD civilians with military ID or proof of service beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the First Base Box Office, while supplies last.

  • A pregame flyover by the C-37 from the 89^th Airlift Wing at Joint Base Andrews.

  • Heroes, Hugs and Home Runs: In partnership with Blue Star Families, an organization committed to strengthening military families by connecting them with their neighbors, previously registered children will receive a recordable teddy bear to send a special message to their deployed military parents.

• WTTG FOX 5 and Gray Media Over-the-Air Simulcast

  • Through partnerships with WTTG FOX 5 and Gray Media, Friday’s game against the Giants is the first of 10 regular-season games that will be simulcast live, providing fans in Washington, D.C. and additional outer markets with a free, over-the-air viewing option.
  • WTTG FOX 5’s Chad Ricardo will host a pregame show leading into the Nationals.TV game broadcast called by play-by-play announcer Dan Kolko, analyst Kevin Frandsen, and host and reporter Alexa Datt.

  • 2026 Women’s College Basketball National Champion at UCLA and Washington Mystics fourth-overall selection in the 2026 WNBA Draft Lauren Betts will toss out the ceremonial first pitch.
  • Washington Mystics first-round draft picks Angela Dugalić, a member of the 2026 Women’s College Basketball National Championship team at UCLA, and Cotie McMahon, Ole Miss women’s basketball star and SEC Newcomer of the Year, will make the call to “Play Ball!”

SUNDAY, APRIL 19 vs. SAN FRANCSICO GIANTS (1:35 P.M.)

• Kids Opening Day
  • Join the Nationals for a day of family fun with Kids Opening Day at Nationals Park.
  • Kids aged 12 and younger will receive a kids sleeveless hoodie presented by Harris Teeter.
  • Families can also stop by the newly expanded Kids Play Area, which includes kid-sized picnic tables, a Screech photo-op, turf space and lawn games.
  • Kids aged 12 and younger can participate in The Great President’s Chase presented by Jr. Nats.

  • Read “Be a Good Sport, Charlie Brown” with a Nationals player during Story Time at Nationals Park, returning for this season.
    • Individuals attending Story Time can enter the ballpark early through the Left Field Gate early at 12:00 p.m. The event is free to attend for anyone with a ticket to that day’s game.
