Charlie Condon did not skip a beat as the calendar flipped to July.

The Rockies’ No. 2 prospect turned in a multihomer performance for the second time in just four days as part of a three-hit day in Triple-A Albuquerque’s 6-5 loss to Round Rock at Dell Diamond. He tallied his eighth game this season with three or more hits, as well as his fourth multihomer outing. Condon emerged as one of three hitters at the Minors’ highest level to tally 10 homers in June and stayed on schedule Wednesday night.

MLB’s No. 65 prospect mashed his first long ball off Round Rock lefty Marco Gonzales (who pitched 10 seasons in the Majors) to left-center field in the third inning. Condon came back for another solo shot off Gonzales in the sixth. Those homers -- Nos. 19 and 20 on the year -- left the bat at 103.5 mph and 101.8, respectively. His third extra-base hit came back in the first when he laced his career-best sixth triple of the year.

Condon’s power was well known in college as he set both Georgia's single-season and all-time home run records. It's taken a bit in the pro game, but he’s now on quite the run of slugging. The 2024 first-rounder has five homers in his past three games -- and 12 in his past 19 contests -- and slugged at an .814 clip in June. He’s among the hottest hitters in the Minors, earning the attention of the big league club.

“Being able to make adjustments is critical, especially at this level,” Rockies president of baseball operations Paul DePodesta said last month. “It’s constantly making adjustments to what your opponents are doing. The fact he has shown that he can do that already in Triple-A is a real credit to him. It’s also a really important part of development.”

The 23-year-old has stayed hot after earning Pacific Coast League Player of the Week honors from last week’s series against Salt Lake when he racked up six extra-base hits and nine RBIs.

Condon earned the chance to make the trip to Philadelphia with his selection to the 2026 All-Star Futures Game at Citizens Bank Park on July 12. He’ll be joined in the Rockies’ organization by Roldy Brito (No. 3/MLB No. 72).
