Rockies finalize Opening Day roster

MIAMI -- The Rockies made their Opening Day roster official on Thursday by placing lefty starter Chris Rusin (mid-back strain) and righty pitcher Antonio Senzatela (right heel blister infection) on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to March 25.

Both are making progress in workouts at the team’s facility in Scottsdale, Ariz., manager Bud Black said. He didn't give a timetable for when either might return to game action.

The roster, announced hours before Thursday afternoon’s opener against the Marlins, has five players on an Opening Day roster for the first time: outfielder David Dahl, who is expected to start in let field; infielder Garrett Hampson, outfielder Raimel Tapia, left-handed relief pitcher Harrison Musgrave and right-handed relief pitcher DJ Johnson.
