Where baseball's top prospects are starting the 2018 season
Team to watch
The Rome Braves have the most Top 30 prospects, with eight, followed closely by Double-A Mississippi and the High A Florida Fire Frogs, with seven apiece. But the place to be might be Gwinnett. While the Stripers have just four Top 30 prospects on their roster, three of them are among the top six. That, of course, starts with top prospect Acuna, so head there early to see him before his inevitable callup to Atlanta.

The Braves' Top 30 Prospects list doesn't include any players who were not with the organization last year.
On the shelf
Gohara was expected to compete for a big league rotation spot, but a left ankle sprain suffered in early March set him back. He should be ready to go in early May.
Weigel had fast-tracked his way to Triple-A in 2017 when he blew out his right elbow in June and needed Tommy John surgery. There's hope he might get back for the end of the '18 season, but it's likely to be '19 before the real Weigel returns.
