Homestand Highlights vs. Los Angeles Angels (Sept. 11-13) & Philadelphia Phillies (Sept. 15-16)

The Washington Nationals return to Nationals Park for a five-game homestand against the Los Angeles Angels (Sept. 11-13) and Philadelphia Phillies (Sept. 15-16). Tickets for Nationals home games can be purchased at Nationals.com/Tickets or at the box office.

The five-game homestand includes the Patriotic Series: Heroes Day; two giveaways – an Expos replica jersey presented by AARP and a Nationals kids lunch box presented by Harris Teeter; and four special ticket events – Filipino Heritage Day, Girl Scout Day, Hispanic Heritage Day, and George Mason University Night.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11 vs. LOS ANGELES ANGELS (6:45 P.M.)

• Patriotic Series: Heroes Day
  • The Nationals remember the Sept. 11 tragedy and honor first responders during the final Patriotic Series: Heroes Day.
  • Heroes Day will include:
    • The Fallen Heroes Tribute, which honors fallen first responders who passed away in the line of duty in the last year.
      • Since 2016, the Nationals honor families of fallen first responders during a special pregame ceremony. The names of these eight fallen heroes will be memorialized by plaques on dedicated seats in Section 130.
    • A ceremonial first pitch from Major David K. King, Jr., U.S. Army Special Forces Retired, who survived the attack on the Pentagon.
    • The national anthem performed by Brittany Shakir, a Metropolitan Police Officer.
    • The call to “Play Ball!” from the children of the Fallen Heroes.
    • A special Salute to Service at the end of the third inning.
• Michael Brennan Honorary First Pitch
  • Michael Brennan, a two-time PGA tour winner and Leesburg, Va., native, will throw out the honorary first pitch.
• Jerseys Off Their Backs
  • Beginning on Sept. 11 until Sept. 26, fans can enter to win a jersey “off the back” of a Nationals player or coach following the final home game of the season.
  • Tickets will be available at Nationals Park and online at nats4good.org.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12 vs. LOS ANGELES ANGELS (4:05 P.M.)

• Expos Replica Jersey presented by AARP
  • 20,000 fans in attendance will receive an Expos replica jersey presented by AARP.

• Canadian Themed Food Specials in Change-Up Food Hall
  • A limited-edition Canadian-themed food menu will be available at the Change-Up Food Hall in the Center Field Plaza:
    • Poutine: Crispy fries with cheese curds and gravy
    • Smoked Brisket Stacker: Smoked brisket sandwich with yellow mustard, swiss cheese, dill pickle chip and slaw on rye bread
    • Steam’n Hot Dog: All-beef hot dog with fried onions, coleslaw, spicy mustard and relish

  • Join the Nationals in celebrating Washington, D.C.’s Filipino culture on the annual Filipino Heritage Day.

  • The Nationals are proud to welcome youth baseball teams from across D.C., Maryland and Virginia who have won their league championship. The teams will be celebrated during a special pregame ceremony on the field.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13 vs. LOS ANGELES ANGELS (1:35 P.M.)

• Kids Lunch Box presented by Harris Teeter
  • Kids aged 12 and younger will receive a Nationals kids lunch box presented by Harris Teeter.

• Girl Scout Day
  • Join fellow Girl Scout associations, service units, troops and families at Nationals Park for Girl Scout Day.
  • Fans who purchase a special ticket will receive a limited-edition Nationals Girl Scout patch and participate in a pregame parade on the warning track.

  • Join the Nationals in celebrating Reading Rainbow Day at Nationals Park.

  • Fans can attend several Reading Rainbow-themed activities, including:

    • Book nook at the Kids Zone

    • Learn from literacy partners Planet Word, Library of Congress, Everybody Wins DC and Ello
    • Pick up copies of Reading Rainbow librarian Mychal Threets’ book, I’m So Happy You’re Here: A Celebration of Library Joy, while supplies last, at the Family Picnic Area
    • Reading Rainbow-themed activations during the game

  • Story Time at Nationals Park

    • Read “Poem Runs” with a Nationals player during Story Time at Nationals Park.

      • Individuals attending Story Time can enter the ballpark early through the Left Field Gate at 12:00 p.m. The event is free to attend for anyone with a ticket to that day’s game.

    • Signature Sunday

      • Nationals players, coaches or broadcasters will be available for autographs down the first base line near the home dugout and will participate in a Q&A session prior to the game.

        • Vouchers are distributed on a first come, first served basis at Section 103, beginning when gates open, weather permitting.

      • Kids Run the Bases presented by GEICO

        • Kids aged 4-12 are invited to run the bases after the game, weather permitting.
        • Kids Run the Bases begins approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of Sunday’s game. Families can line up at the GEICO Presidents Photo Station behind Section 131.

• Roberto Clemente Day
  • The Nationals join Major League Baseball in celebrating Roberto Clemente Day.
    • Every year, Major League Baseball honors the life, legacy and humanitarian work of Hall of Famer and 12-time All-Star Roberto Clemente, who passed away in a plane crash while attempting to deliver supplies to earthquake victims in Nicaragua.
  • The Nationals will recognize the Club’s Clemente award nominee before the game.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16 vs. PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES (6:45 P.M.)

• Australia – U.S. Friendship Day
  • Join the Nationals in celebrating Australia-U.S. Friendship Day.
• George Mason University Night
  • Patriots students, staff, faculty, alumni and families are welcome to Nationals Park for George Mason University Night.

• Branch Appreciation Day presented by RTX: U.S. Air Force Day
  • The Nationals will host their final Branch Appreciation Day presented by RTX with U.S. Air Force Day, honoring service members with a special pregame ceremony and Salute to Service.
  • The U.S. Air Force will participate in a pregame flyover.
  • The Nationals will provide two complimentary tickets to the game to all former or current active duty, dependent, veteran, retiree, reservist, National Guard and Department of Defense members, while supplies last.
