Rangers announce 2024 Opening Day roster

Arlington, Texas — The Texas Rangers today announced several transactions to set the club’s 26-man Opening Day roster ahead of Thursday’s 11:00 a.m. CT deadline:

The Rangers’ season opener is Thursday night at 6:39 p.m. CT against the Chicago Cubs at Globe Life Field. The first date Lowe would be eligible to be activated from the Injured List is April 4. The first date Hernández, Lorenzen, and Scherzer are eligible to be activated from the Injured List is April 9.

With today’s transactions, the Rangers remain at the 40-man limit on the club’s Major League roster, along with three players (Carson Coleman, Jacob deGrom, Tyler Mahle) on the 60-day Injured List.
