What’s Happening This Week at Citizens Bank Park: Phillies vs. Rockies, April 15-17

On April 15-17, the Phillies continue their homestand with a three-game set against the Colorado Rockies. Here’s a look at some of the fan highlights:

1. On Monday, April 15, the Phillies will join Major League Baseball to celebrate the legacy of Jackie Robinson, as well as recognize pioneers in pinstripes, before that night’s 6:40 p.m. game.

• Before gates open, the Phillies will officially unveil a “Pioneers in Pinstripes” display in the Hall of Fame Club (first base side). The new display honors the trailblazers of Phillies integration and racial/ethnic diversity, focusing on the time from when Jackie Robinson broke baseball’s color barrier to when Dick Allen became the Phillies’ first Black superstar.
• Gail Quarles, daughter of pioneer Hank Mason, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch, who will be accompanied by Phillies Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer John Middleton. Mason was the first Black pitcher to pitch in the major leagues for the Phillies in 1958.
• As is tradition, players, managers and coaches will once again wear Robinson’s iconic No. 42, along with New Era caps with a “42” side patch. Commemorative base jewels, lineup cards and more will also be used during the game. Plus, commemorative “42” logo New Era Caps will be available for purchase at the New Era Phillies Team Store.
• In addition, the on-field tribute will include the Phillies honoring their 2024 Jackie Robinson Foundation scholar Julian Fields Jackson from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as their Phillies Charities grant recipient Rukudzo Taruwinga, also a Nike RBI softball player. A portion of that night’s 50/50 Phillies Charities Raffle will benefit the Jackie Robinson Foundation.

2. Tuesday, April 16, is Hatfield Phillies Franks BOGO Night at 6:40 p.m. Plus, athletes from the Phillies Urban Youth Academy will be recognized on the field before the game.

• Fans can buy two hot dogs for the price of one hot dog ($5) at concession stands throughout the ballpark.
• Members of the Phillies Urban Youth Academy 14U, 15U, and 17U baseball teams, as well as the 14U, 16U, and 18U softball teams will be honored on-field.

3. The series concludes on Wednesday, April 17, at the 6:05 p.m. game, with Zack Wheeler being presented with his 2023 Rawlings Gold Glove award on-field. Highlights also include the first Phillies Strike Out the Stigma event featuring important conversations surrounding mental health.

• Focusing on mental health in the baseball community, the Strike Out the Stigma Theme Night will feature guest speakers including John Middleton, The Athletic baseball reporter Jayson Stark and Phillies Director of Mental Health Dr. Deanna Nobleza. The event will be hosted by Phillies Ambassador Scott Palmer and LMFT’s Dr. George James.
• Plus, Dean of Temple Medical School Dr. Amy Goldberg will throw a ceremonial first pitch.

4. Place your bids on signed and game-used items during the Phillies Charities, Inc. Online Auction, benefitting The Pennsylvania SPCA at com/auctions! Bidding ends on Monday, May 6, at 10:00 p.m.

• Items include those signed by Alec Bohm, Nick Castellanos, Bryce Harper, Brandon Marsh, Kyle Schwarber, Edmundo Sosa, Bryston Stott and Taijuan Walker.

5. Fans are invited to enroll in MLB’s Go-Ahead Entry on the MLB Ballpark App, a free-flow ballpark entry experience that allows ticket holders the ability to enter the ballpark at full walking speed without stopping.

• Go-Ahead Entry lanes are located at the First Base, Third Base and Left Field Gates.
• Fans who enrolled in Go-Ahead Entry last year will need to re-enroll for the 2024 season.

Only clutch purses and/or fanny packs (no larger than 5" x 7"), clear bags (no larger than 12" x 6" x 12"), medical bags, and diaper bags will be permitted into Citizens Bank Park. All bags will be subject to inspection upon entry in accordance with Major League Baseball security regulations.
• Uber RideShare Lot: Lot T is designated for Uber RideShare for all Citizens Bank Park and Wells Fargo Center events. Fans should exit the Third Base Gate and walk along Pattison Avenue toward Broad Street to enter the lot and request a vehicle, which will meet each rider in the designated area.
• Parking: Please click here for a parking map. Parking for Phillies games is cashless. Methods of payment include credit/debit cards and mobile payment (Apple Pay, Google Pay). To expedite entry, pre-paid parking passes may also be purchased prior to the game.
