What's Happening this Week: Phillies-Marlins series, August 9-11

On Tuesday, August 9, the Phillies kick off a three-game series against the Miami Marlins at Citizens Bank Park. Here’s a look at the promotions and fun surrounding the games, as well as other know-before-you-go information.

1. The series starts on Tuesday with Fox Chase Cancer Center Strike Out Cancer Night at 7:05 p.m. Plus, Rhys Hoskins will be presented with the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) 2022 Heart & Hustle Award!

• Stop by Fox Chase Cancer Center’s skin cancer information RV on Citizens Bank Way and table at Section 109 pregame.

• Fox Chase Cancer Center patient, Stefanie Heart, will throw the ceremonial first pitch to Dr. Jeffrey M. Farma.

• Also, prior to the game, 1993 National League champion Mickey Morandini will present Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins with the MLBPAA 2022 Heart & Hustle Award, given to a player who demonstrates a passion for the game of baseball and best embodies the values, spirit and tradition of the game.

2. Enjoy Wednesday’s 7:05 p.m. game with Philly Pop!

• Check out all the tasty new foods at the ballpark including Manco & Manco Pizza, Colbie’s Southern Kissed Chicken, KLYR Rum and Philly Pop! popcorn (featuring Chickie’s and Pete’s signature seasoning paired with a tangy white cheddar flavor) behind Section 110.

3. Nemours Children’s Health Kids Run the Bases takes place after Thursday’s 1:05 p.m. Citizens Businessperson’s Special game.

• Fans 14 and under can run the bases like a major leaguer following the game.

• Prior to the game, fans can play LifeBrand’s Oculus Home Run Derby, located inside the Third Base Plaza.

4. Last chance to bid on signed items at the Phillies Charities, Inc. Legends Auction!

• Autographed items by Phillies legends Cole Hamels, Jim Thome, Cliff Lee, Jimmy Rollins, Chase Utley and Ryan Howard are among the memorabilia up for bid until noon on Friday, August 12, via the MLB Ballpark App (available on iOS and Android devices only).
