What’s Happening This Week at Citizens Bank Park: Phillies vs. Pirates, June 29–July 2

The Phillies are back in town for their last homestand before the 2026 MLB All-Star Game, beginning with a four-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates, June 29–July 2.

Plus, Phase 2 of voting for the KONAMI eBaseball MLB All-Star Ballot is underway at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29; vote once every day for Alec Bohm, Brandon Marsh and Bryson Stott until July 2 to send them to the Midsummer Classic right here in Philadelphia.

  1. The series kicks off on Monday, June 29, at 6:40 p.m. Children 14 and under will receive a 2026 MLB All-Star Game Pennant.

    • As part of Phillies Jr. RBI and RBI Recognition Night, Julian Montgomery from the Catto League – Lee Cultural Center will be honored as the Phillies Nike RBI Coach of the Year. The Phillies RBI program is presented by Richman’s Ice Cream & Nike. The Phillies Jr. RBI program is sponsored by Citizens.
    • First Base Plaza: Visit Ocean City Maryland will be on site with interactive games, giveaways and information.
    • Third Base Plaza: Hoagiefest is back! Score giveaways and win coupons courtesy of Wawa. Plus, enjoy games and giveaways from theScore Bet through Wednesday.
    • At the end of the 3rd inning, Lieutenant Commander Edward Callahan, a Vietnam veteran who served 27 years in Naval Intelligence, will be honored as the night’s Toyota Hometown Hero.
  2. Following the 6:40 p.m. game on Tuesday, June 30, it’s the first Xfinity Fireworks Show!

  3. It’s the second and final Xfinity Fireworks Show of the season following the 6:40 p.m. game on Wednesday, July 1.

    • Artemis II astronaut and Philadelphia sports fan Christina Koch will throw a ceremonial first pitch. Pennsylvania Attorney General David Sunday will also throw a first pitch.
    • The artists behind the City of Neighborhoods series will be at the Third Base Plaza, giving out and signing exclusive All-Star themed posters before the game, while supplies last. The posters feature five of Philly’s iconic neighborhoods, designed by Ryan Lynn (Old City), Jon Billett (Fairmount), Ana Thorne (Rittenhouse), Tim Gough (Fishtown) and James Olstein (South Philly).
    • Phillies and Citizens Bank Park employees of the month will be honored on field before the game.
  4. The series concludes with a Citizens Businessperson’s Special on Thursday, July 2 at 12:35 p.m. Following the game, children 14 and under are invited on field for Nemours Children’s Health Kids Run the Bases (weather permitting).

    • Before the game, the Phillies will host a Strike Out the Stigma session presented by Park Avenue Worldwide, with the topic of International Sports – Psychology and Support, with special guests including Philadelphia Union Ring of Honor member Sébastian Le Toux.
    • Learn more about Merck’s ”Playing with Heart” initiative, in partnership with Phillies legends Charlie Manuel and Jimmy Rollins, at the Left Field Plaza before the game. Manuel and Rollins will take part in a ceremonial first pitch with Merck associate vice president Chris Regent.
    • Plus, Tom Glaze, a descendent of Benjamin Franklin, will throw a ceremonial first pitch.
    • At the end of the 3rd inning, U.S. Army veteran Staff Sergeant Greg Moreland will be honored as the Toyota Hometown Hero.
