What's Happening This Weekend at Citizens Bank Park: Phillies vs. Diamondbacks, April 10-12
The Phils return from the West Coast with a weekend series against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Friday, April 10 – Sunday, April 12, to kick off a nine-game homestand at Citizens Bank Park. Here’s a look at the fan highlights.
The series begins with the 6:40 p.m. game on Friday, April 10.
*Gate openings: 3B/LF – 4:40 p.m.; all other gates 5:10 p.m.*- Before the game, the Maple Point Middle School Band will perform on-field, with the national anthem sung by the Maple Point Middle School Choir.
- Also pregame, Urban Youth Academy baseball (14u, 15u, 17u Red, 17u Black) and softball players (12u, 14u, 16u, 18u) will be recognized on-field.
- John Zegarski III from Doylestown, Pa., will be honored as the GIANT Kid of the Game.
- Prior to the first pitch, Miller Lite 12 oz. cans will be available at Miller Lite Liberty Landing for $6.99. Plus, the first 250 fans to purchase through this deal will receive a Phillies and Miller Lite co-branded beverage wrap.
It’s Cavity Busters Kids Opening Day on Saturday, April 11, at 1:05 p.m.! Children 14 and under will receive a Hooded Sweatshirt. Plus, be on the lookout for prizes and surprises for a few lucky kids, courtesy of Cavity Busters.
Gate openings: 3B/LF – 10:35 a.m.; all other gates 11:35 a.m.- Youngsters take over the ballpark! Kids will be taking part in pregame and in-game activities, including being an honorary PA announcer, DJing the ballpark music and even changing the bases on-field.
- Before the game, enjoy the Budweiser Block Party with DJ HBK at the Budweiser Batter’s Eye Bar behind Section 148.
- Enjoy Chomz samples from Herr’s at the Left Field Gate.
On Sunday, April 12, be in your seats by 1:00 p.m. as the Phillies celebrate the best mascot in sports with the Citizens Phanatic Birthday, all before that day’s 1:35 p.m. game!
Gate openings: 3B/LF – 11:05 a.m.; all other gates 12:05 p.m.- Children 14 and under will receive a Colonial Phanatic Bobble Head.
- Phil and Phillis, the Galapagos Gang and college and professional mascots will take the field for the “Phillie Phanatic’s Big Backyard Birthday Bash,” featuring birthday games like Twister, bowling, musical chairs and pin the tail on the donkey.
- The event will conclude with the presentation of a giant Phanatic birthday card courtesy of Citizens. Plus, the entire ballpark will be invited to sing “Happy Birthday” while a birthday cake, courtesy of The GIANT Company, is delivered.
- Fans can enjoy complimentary face painting at The Yard.
Bid on team-issued and game-used autographed memorabilia items as part of the Phillies Charities, Inc. Online Auction until 10:00 p.m. on April 24, at com/auctions.
- Features signed memorabilia from Phillies players including Alec Bohm, Jhoan Duran, Bryce Harper, Brandon Marsh, Aaron Nola, J.T. Realmuto, Cristopher Sánchez, Kyle Schwarber, Edmundo Sosa, Trea Turner and Zack Wheeler, as well as manager Rob Thomson.
