What’s Happening This Weekend: Phillies vs. Athletics, July 12-14

Come cheer on the Phils as they take on the Oakland A’s, July 12-14, before heading off to Texas for the All-Star Game. Here’s a look at some of the fan highlights:

  1. The series begins on Friday, July 12, at 6:40 p.m. All fans will receive a Sustainable Phillies Cap presented by PGW.

  2. The Phillies will wear their Nike MLB City Connect uniforms for another Lights Up // Friday Night at the Bank.

  3. Before the game, Philadelphia City Council President Kenyatta Johnson will throw a ceremonial first pitch on behalf of PGW.

  4. Fans, age 21 & over: stop by the Miller Lite Friday Happy Hour at Miller Lite Liberty Landing, featuring specials until the first pitch.

  5. Get to the ballpark early on Saturday, July 13, for Coca-Cola Photo Day, featuring on-field photo opportunities with players, broadcasters, the Phillie Phanatic, Phillies Ballgirls and more! Gates open early at 2:05 p.m. for this pregame event. Field access is limited.

  6. All fans will receive a Coca-Cola Photo Day print.

  7. Join the pregame fun at the Budweiser Block Party at the Budweiser Batter’s Eye Bar behind Section 148.

  8. Declan Houser, 10, from Allentown, N.J., will be honored as that night’s GIANT Kid of the Game.

  9. The series concludes on Sunday, July 14, at 1:35 p.m. All children 14 and under will receive a Nick Castellanos Basketball Jersey presented by CP Rankin Roofing Experts.

  10. Fans can enjoy complimentary face painting at the Yard before and during the game.

  11. Stop by the area adjacent to the First Base Plaza (behind Section 114) for the Phillies Charities Phlash Sale! Hundreds of game-used, team issued and autographed jerseys, baseballs, bats, hats and more will be on sale to benefit charity. Items include those signed by current and former players such as Bryson Stott and Rhys Hoskins, among others.

  12. Before the game, a naturalization ceremony will be held on-field for 15 candidates for United States citizenship, who will be sworn in by The Honorable John Milton Younge, U.S. District Court Judge for Eastern PA.

  13. Also pregame, 17 students will be recognized as recipients of Chick-fil-A scholarships.

  14. JD Elliot, 7, from Media, Pa., will be honored as that day’s GIANT Kid of the Game.

  15. For this series only, Sal’s Pizzaworks from Marlton, NJ, will be offering its Hot ‘n’ Sexy Chicken Sandwich at Coca-Cola Corner (left field).

  16. Paired with a 20-ounce Coke Zero Sugar for $20.98, 5% of all purchases of the sandwich will benefit Philabundance to help fight food insecurity.

  17. Bid on over two dozen team-issued and game-used autographed memorabilia during the Phillies Charities, Inc. Online Auction on phillies.com/auctions until August 1, at 6:00 p.m.

  18. Auction items include baseballs, jerseys, caps, broken bats and more signed by players such as José Alvardo, Alec Bohm, Nick Castellanos, Seranthony Domínguez, Bryce Harper, Brandon Marsh, Aaron Nola, J.T. Realmuto, Kyle Schwarber, Edmundo Sosa, Bryson Stott, Matt Strahm, Ranger Suárez, Trea Turner and Zack Wheeler.
