Ryan resides in Raleigh, N.C., with his wife, Hailey, who played volleyball at Wake Forest University. In 2021 he went public via his social media channels and media outlets regarding his journey with overcoming the adversity of losing his father, Michael, at age 14 when he committed suicide…also shared the story of losing his mother, Barbara, during his junior year in college from complications of lupus...Held the Ryan Weiss Baseball Camp on Feb. 5 and Feb. 26, 2022, in North Carolina...He runs a website, [www.ryanweissbaseball.com](http://www.ryanweissbaseball.com), that provides baseball training instructions, college recruiting information and coaching tips...Attended Wright State University (Ohio) from 2017-18...he went 17-3 with a 2.80 ERA (58 ER in 186.2 IP) in two seasons with the Raiders...Was a Cape Cod League All-Star with Hyannis in 2017 after going 2-0 with a 2.52 ERA in 14 games (3 starts)...Graduated from South Elgin HS (Ill.) in 2016, where he grew up an avid Cubs fan.

2022

Began the 2022 season on Arizona’s 40-man roster and debuted with Double-A Amarillo, where he spent just over a month before being promoted to Triple-A Reno...Made 16 relief appearances and one start between the two stops before he was designated for assignment on June 26, and claimed by Kansas City on July 1... he was optioned off the 40-man roster at the completion of the deal...In 30 appearances with Triple-A Omaha, he recorded 34 strikeouts in 35.2 innings.

2021

Combined to go 6-3 with one save, a 4.60 ERA (40 ER in 78.1 IP), 88 strikeouts and .224 opponent average in 34 games (8 starts) between Double-A Amarillo and Triple-A Reno... Won back-to-back Double-A Central Pitcher of the Week honors: May 10-16 and May 17-23.
