Saw his first Major League action, appearing in 19 games (16 starts), going 6-6 with a 4.76 ERA (52ER/98.1IP) and 77 strikeouts...Also started 13 games with Triple-A Toledo, compiling a 1-4 record with a 5.03 ERA (27ER/48.1IP) and 54 strikeouts...Made his Major League debut in the second game of the doubleheader on May 29 vs. Pittsburgh, allowing four runs on five hits with one walk and five strikeouts in 4.1 innings...Threw the first complete game shutout of his career on Sept. 10 vs. Colorado, facing the minimum 27 batters and giving up three hits with five strikeouts on 96 pitches...became the first Tiger to face the minimum in a complete game since Justin Verlander’s no-hitter on May 7, 2011, at Toronto...was the first Tiger to throw a complete game in less than 100 pitches since David Price on June 12, 2015, and the first rookie to have a sub-100 pitch complete game while facing the minimum since pitch tracking began in 1988...Threw two scoreless innings in his postseason debut on Oct. 5 at Cleveland, allowing one hit and striking out three...became the fifth reliever in Major League history to make his Postseason debut in the American League Division Series and throw 2.0+ innings with three-or more strikeouts (last, Cody Morris vs. New York on October 16, 2022, in Game 4)...Made his first career playoff start on Oct. 9 vs. Cleveland, working a perfect inning on just six pitches...tied Johnny Cueto (Game 1 of 2012 NLDS) for the second-fewest pitchers by a starter in postseason history, trailing only Wade Miley’s five pitches in Game 5 of the 2018 NLCS.

Saw time across three different levels of the Tigers player development system in 2023, appearing in 27 games, including 26 starts, between Single A West Michigan, Double A Erie and Triple A Toledo... Led all full season Minor League pitchers with 15 victories, while he ranked third with a .789 winning percentage... Had a career-high 11 strikeouts on June 20 at Hartford, giving up two runs on three hits with three walks in 5.2 innings... Named Tigers Minor League Pitcher of the Month for June, posting a 4-1 record with a 4.18 ERA (23.2IP/11ER) and 37 strikeouts... Won six consecutive starts from June 13-July 22, compiling a 2.53 ERA (32.0IP/9ER) and 44 strikeouts over that span... Finished the season strong at Toledo, going 3-1 with a 3.27 ERA (22.0IP/8ER) and 27 strikeouts in four appearances, including three starts.

2022

Spent the entire 2022 season with Single A West Michigan, starting 25 games, which was tied for the Midwest League lead...Ranked tied for ninth in the Midwest League with seven wins...On the injured list from April 13-22 with a lumbar spine muscle strain...Finished the season strong, allowing two earned runs-or-less over his final seven starts from Aug. 4-Sept. 8...posted a 2-1 record with a 1.54 ERA (35.0IP/6ER) and 30 strikeouts during that span.

2021

Limited to 15 starts with Single A West Michigan in 2021 after missing over a month of the season with an injury...Made five starts for the Whitecaps in June, compiling a 1-2 record with a 2.49 ERA (25.1IP/7ER) and 28 strikeouts...Sidelined from Aug. 6-Sept. 21 with a right forearm tendon injury.
