Went 6-4 with a 2.31 ERA (25 ER, 97.1 IP) with 48 walks and 142 strikeouts in 20 games (19 starts) between High-A Everett and Double-A Arkansas....Had his contract selected by Seattle on Sept. 28, but did not appear in a game....- Named Double-A Central Pitcher of the Week on two occasions (Aug. 22 & Sept. 5)...on Aug. 19 at Frisco, tossed 7.0 scoreless innings, allowing one hit while striking out 12...on Sept. 2 vs. Wichita, tossed 6.0 scoreless innings without allowing a hit, striking out 11.

Added to the Mariners 60-man roster after being acquired by Seattle from San Diego as player to be named later on Sept. 17 (Aug. 20 trade)…spent the remainder of the season at the Mariners alternate training site in Tacoma.

Made his pro debut in the Padres organization…appeared in 5 games (1 start) between the AZL Padres and Single-A Fort Wayne, posting a 1.69 ERA (1 ER, 5.1 IP) with 8 strikeouts.
