Miami Marlins Scholars
Miami Marlins Scholars are need-based academic scholarships that are awarded annually in three key categories:
Jackie Robinson Legacy Scholars: The Jackie Robinson Foundation and the Miami Marlins Foundation committed to awarding an annual scholarship in perpetuity to a South Florida student that demonstrates Jackie Robinson’s nine values in 2020. Natalia Wilson, our first awardee, is in her Senior year at Howard University majoring in Political Science with a minor in communications. After completing her studies in the Spring of 2024, she intends to enroll in law school. Natalia's long-term goal is to pursue a career as a US Senator as well as a Supreme Court Justice.
First Generation Scholars: Scholarships are award to students who are the first in their family to attend college. Through multiple endowments, First Generation scholarships have been awarded to students at Florida International University (FIU), 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project alum attending FIU, and Miami-Dade College.
