Jackie Robinson Classic
presented by Nike
In honor of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier, the Miami Marlins Foundation will host the Jackie Robinson Classic presented by Nike at loanDepot park on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
The Booker T. Washington Tornados and the Boyd Anderson Cobras will compete in a regular season game at the ballpark and recognize the achievements of Jackie Robinson. All participating athletes will receive a Nike warmup shirt with the number 42 on the back accompanied by one of Jackie Robinson’s nine values.
In 2023, Piper High school and South Broward High School participated in the inaugural Jackie Robinson Classic. Both schools had students, faculty, marching bands and cheer squads in attendance supporting them in the stands.
