Play Ball Weekend

The Marlins are excited to join Major League Baseball to celebrate youth baseball and softball during PLAY BALL Weekend.

PLAY BALL Weekend will take place June 10-12, 2022, with activities taking place all weekend encouraging young people to play ball and highlighting the Marlins youth baseball and softball programs.

PLAY BALL Event at KIPP Miami

Date: Friday, June 10, 2022

Time: 9:00AM - 10:30AM

Location: KIPP Sunrise

Overview: The PLAY BALL initiative is baseball's collective effort to encourage young people and communities to engage in baseball or softball related activities. PLAY BALL events demonstrate the positive way the game can serve as an outlet for physical activity, fun with friends and learning how to play the sport at its most basic levels. The event will consist of baserunning, hitting, fielding, agilities and introducing the fundamentals of baseball and softball. Each participant at the event will be receiving a bat and ball set as well as a branded water bottle.

City of Miami PAL (Police Athletic League) PLAY BALL Event

Date: Friday, June 10, 2022

Time: 1:00PM - 3:30PM

Location: Curtis Park, 1901 NW 24th Ave, Miami, FL 33125

Overview: The PLAY BALL initiative is baseball’s collective effort to encourage young people and communities to engage in baseball or softball related activities. PLAY BALL events demonstrate the positive way the game can serve as an outlet for physical activity, fun with friends and learning how to play the sport at its most basic levels. The event will consist of baserunning, hitting, fielding, agilities and introducing the fundamentals of baseball and softball. Each participant at the event will be receiving a bat and ball set as well as a branded water bottle.

Overview: Cheer on our RBI teams during their regular season. They will be playing at multiple fields throughout Miami and Broward.

PLAY BALL Summer Bash

Overview: The PLAY BALL initiative is baseball's collective effort to encourage young people and communities to engage in baseball or softball related activities. PLAY BALL events demonstrate the positive way the game can serve as an outlet for physical activity, fun with friends and learning how to play the sport at its most basic levels. The event will consist of baserunning, hitting, fielding, agilities and introducing the fundamentals of baseball and softball. Guests will also be able to enjoy music, food trucks and additional play activities. Each participant at the event will be receiving a bat and ball set as well as a branded water bottle.

Pitch, Hit & Run Competition

Date: Sunday, June 12, 2022

Time: 11:00AM - 1:30PM

Location: Suellen H. Fardelmann Cooper City Sports Complex, 10300 Stirling Road, Field 3, Cooper City, FL 33026

Overview: Pitch, Hit & Run is a free event that creates a safe and fun environment for kids to stay active and learn or continue to play baseball and softball in their local communities. The Pitch, Hit & Run property is for boys and girls 7-14 years old and consists of a series of movements that are important in baseball and softball. Each participant at the event will be receiving a bat and ball set as well as a branded water bottle.
