boasts 60-grade power, and he’s shown why over a red-hot August.

The Tigers’ No. 3 prospect and MLB Pipeline’s No. 48 prospect overall crushed a home run in his third straight game on Sunday, his fourth in the month. Rainer went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs Sunday to help High-A West Michigan to a 12-6 win over Lansing at LMCU Ballpark.

Rainer helped give West Michigan a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. He followed Jackson Strong’s leadoff homer with a dinger of his own, taking the first pitch he saw to deep right-center field.

Rainer later walked and scored as part of an eight-run fifth inning. He also singled on a ground ball in the seventh, driving in another run.

Not only was this Rainer’s third straight game with a long ball, but it was also his third consecutive game with two hits. The 2024 No. 11 overall Draft pick has at least one hit in nine of 12 games in August, six of those with multiple hits. That’s good for a slash line of .288/.356/.577 with four homers, three doubles and 10 RBIs.
