Holy cow! Orioles affiliate honors the Milkman with must-see bobblehead

July 6th, 2025

Typically, the Chesapeake Bay area is associated with scenic shorelines, but it felt more like Home on the Range when the Chesapeake Baysox unveiled an udderly one-of-a-kind bobblehead.

Nicknamed the Milkman, the Orioles outfielder stands atop a “COW-SER” pedestal, primed to bulldoze the next pitch. The twist? Cowser is in a full cow costume, udders and all.

A herd of 1,000 fans received this bovine bobblehead upon entering Prince George’s Stadium prior to Saturday’s game against the Richmond Flying Squirrels.

And while Cowser has moved onto greener pastures in Baltimore, many Baysox fans could talk about his Double-A tenure til the cows come home. In 49 games with the then-Bowie Baysox in 2022, Cowser hit .341 with 10 home runs. On Aug. 28 of that season, he took the bull by the horns, smashing a walk-off home run, the first one for the franchise since 2019.

And while it’s difficult to say for certain, we’d bet the farm that Cowser was moo-ved by Chesapeake’s gesture. So much so that he crushed his eighth home run of the season in the Orioles’ 5-3 10-inning win against Atlanta on Saturday.

As they say, the Milkman always delivers.
