The Twins announced on Saturday that they've recalled outfielder Emmanuel Rodriguez from Triple-A St. Paul.

Rodriguez, 23, has hit .262 (45-for-172) with six doubles, one triple, 11 home runs, 33 RBI, 42 walks, seven stolen bases, 36 runs scored, a .414 on-base percentage and a .914 OPS in 49 games for the Saints this season. This includes slashing .289/.417/.511 (.928 OPS) with nine extra-base hits, 15 RBI and 18 walks in his last 23 games since August 12. The Santiago, Dominican Republic native was originally signed by the Twins in July of 2019 and is currently ranked as the No. 4 prospect in the Twins system by Baseball America and No. 5 by MLB Pipeline. Rodriguez will be in uniform for today’s game against the Cleveland Guardians at Target Field, wearing uniform number 21 and looking to make his major league debut.
To make room for Rodriguez on the 26-man roster, the Twins have optioned infielder Ben Ross to St. Paul. Ross made his major league debut on September 1 and went 0-for-4 with one run scored in three games for Minnesota.
