returned to Double-A Harrisburg on Wednesday for his first start there in nearly an entire year. He showed off all of his upside, albeit in a brief outing.

Susana pitched 2 2/3 scoreless innings, striking out four while walking one and allowing one hit. He ran his fastball consistently into triple digits as the Senators topped Chesapeake, 5-4, at FNB Field.

Susana, the Nationals’ No. 3 prospect and MLB Pipeline’s No. 68 overall, began with a 1-2-3 inning in the first, featuring two strikeouts. He issued a one-out walk in the second but cleaned things up with a groundout and strikeout.

Susana’s outing ended with a groundout, a strikeout and a single. He began the ensuing at-bat against Wehiwa Aloy (Orioles) but was lifted midway through, as he had reached his 50-pitch limit for the outing. Luke Young then finished things up with a strikeout of Aloy.

Susana, who last started with Harrisburg on Aug. 30, 2025, has now made four starts this season (three with High-A Wilmington) in his return from a right lat injury. The 22-year-old right-hander has struck out 17 of the 35 batters he’s faced while staying scoreless in three outings.
