Jefferson Rojas can check another box in his journey to the Majors. The Mets' top prospect had his first four-hit game in Double-A on Sunday -- his first at any level since 2024.
The shortstop's big day Sunday in a 7-6 loss to New Hampshire at Mirabito Stadium was his latest strong showing for Binghamton since coming over in a Trade Deadline deal that sent pitcher Clay Holmes and outfielder Tyrone Taylor to the Cubs. In 26 games with the Rumble Ponies, Rojas has hit .286 with nine homers and a .961 OPS. That gives him a .273 average, 24 homers and an .837 OPS for the season.

While Sunday's performance against New Hampshire -- which included a homer and a double -- was Rojas' first four-hit game in more than two years, it was his seventh multi-hit contest since the trade and his fifth with at least three hits.
Rojas, 21, had started September in a mild 2-for-14 skid, but this remains the best overall season of his pro career. Sunday's performance allowed him to improve upon career highs he's already set in multiple key categories, including hits (123), homers (24), RBIs (86) and runs (79), and gave the Mets and their fans even more reason to be excited about his future.
