Mike Sirota and Charles Davalan, two of the three Top 100 prospects at Double-A Tulsa, put on a show in a playoff-opening barnburner for the Drillers.
Both players went deep in the game, which ended as a 9-7 loss via walk-off home run from Springfield’s Jesús Báez at Route 66 Stadium. The first in a best-of-three series, Tulsa and Springfield traded the lead four times and combined for nine runs in the game’s final three innings.
Sirota’s homer was a seismic shot, both in distance and game situation. He pulled a 1-2 pitch to left field with two outs and a runner on, taking a 5-4 lead for Tulsa in the seventh inning. The broadcast reported the long ball at 423 feet, flying beyond the berm in left field.

Sirota tacked on a first-inning single to finish his day 2-for-5. The Dodgers’ No. 2 prospect and MLB Pipeline’s No. 15 prospect overall, Sirota enjoyed a massive breakout in 2025. He posted a .985 OPS in the regular season, good for 10th among full-season qualifying Minor League players. The 2024 third-round Draft pick also ran a 72-game on-base streak during the year and had 17 total home runs across two levels.
Davalan, who joined Tulsa after Josue De Paula earned a promotion to the Major Leagues, followed Sirota’s long ball with an eighth-inning homer. The two-run shot gave the lead back to the Drillers after Springfield tied things up in the home seventh.
Davalan (LAD No. 6, MLB No. 86) pumped 24 home runs at High-A before his late-season promotion. The 41st pick in the 2025 Draft, Davalan will have a chance to continue his breakout when the Arizona Fall League gets rolling in October.
