Entering this season, all eyes were on the Rockies' 2025 first-round pick (No. 4 overall) Ethan Holliday.
The son of Rox legend Matt Holliday, Ethan got his feet wet in pro ball last season with 18 games at Single-A Fresno and returned to the level this year.
But just as Colorado's top-ranked prospect was finding his groove in Fresno, his season ended abruptly after suffering a stress fracture in his left foot.
Still, Holliday remains a pivotal part of the Rockies' promising future, which experienced a significant boost over the past month.

Along with No. 2 prospect Roldy Brito's surge this season across Fresno and High-A Spokane, the organization has added seven new prospects to its Top 30 list, including four among its top 10, that weren't with the organization.
Another strong Draft by the Rockies in 2026 added five of those new names -- including shortstop Tyler Bell, who was selected No. 10 overall out of Kentucky. The 21-year-old -- who also debuted on the new Top 100 Prospects list at No. 64 -- will need to delay his pro career after playing through a shoulder injury in his final college season that will require surgery, but is expected to be a fast riser once healthy again.
2026 Golden Spikes winner Daniel Jackson (No. 6) out of Georgia was also part of this year's Draft haul for Colorado, that included a pair of promising arms in Logan Reddemann (No. 7) and Tyler Putnam (No. 20).
In total, 11 names appear on Colorado's refreshed Top 30 Prospects list that were not part of the club's preseason list.

Here are the players whose ranks changed the most from the preseason list:
Jump: Cristian Arguelles, OF (Preseason: No. 23 | Midseason: No. 5)
Signed for $700,000 in January 2024, Arguelles represented the second-highest bonus the Rockies handed out during that international signing period. The 19-year-old held his own during his pro debut in the Dominican Summer League (DSL) after signing, but without any impact. After adding some strength during the offseason, he stayed in the DSL for another season last year and earned DSL MVP honors after winning the batting title (.422) and leading the circuit in OPS (1.180). In his first stateside campaign, Arguelles has displayed a strong feel for hitting -- using the whole field. He grinds out at-bats, takes walks and shows excellent balance at the plate. The left-handed hitter is slashing .379/.458/.671 with 39 extra-base hits, 82 RBIs, 71 runs scored, 38 walks and 14 stolen bases in 71 total games across the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League and Single-A Fresno.
Fall: Griffin Herring, LHP (Preseason: No. 9 | Midseason: NR)
Acquired from the Yankees in the deal that that sent Ryan McMahon to New York at the Deadline last year, Herring made an immediate impact with his new organization over seven strong starts -- posting a 2.40 ERA with a 0.90 WHIP and a .141 average against with 47 strikeouts in 30 innings at High-A Spokane. However, the southpaw has not been able to find anywhere close to that level of success or consistency this season after opening the year at Double-A. Through 12 appearances (three starts) with Hartford, Herring posted an 8.87 ERA with a .270 average against over 23 1/3 frames.
