Tartan Army continued its MLB takeover Tuesday night, using the six-day break between Scotland’s World Cup games for a trip to see the Bronx Bombers.
Scotland football fans celebrated their Group C win over Haiti on Saturday with a visit to historic Fenway Park Sunday night. With their next game not coming until Friday against Morocco in Foxborough, Mass., many fans took a trip down to New York City to continue their ballpark tour.
Scotland fans dressed largely in blue took over the upper deck of Yankee Stadium as the Yankees took down the White Sox 12-2 on Tuesday. Amid the blowout, fans performed multiple of their signature chants while waving their flag proudly.
On Sunday, the Red Sox planned their Scottish Heritage Night around the World Cup in anticipation of visitors making their way for the games in nearby Foxborough. The Yankees didn’t have quite the same plans, as none of Scotland’s Group C matchups will be played at New York New Jersey Stadium, better known as MetLife Stadium.
Scotland will head to Miami Stadium on June 24 for its final Group C match. Only time will tell which MLB stadiums the Tartan Army could take over next.
