On Thursday, June 18, beginning at 6:40 pm, as the Royals take on the Cardinals, there will be a special Royals Foundation Flash Fundraiser. Every $250 donation made will support the work of the Urban Youth Academy. Donors will be able to select an exclusive limited quantity World Baseball Classic inspired bat engraved with Royals players and signatures. This opportunity will only be available during the broadcast of this game, so don’t wait!

1. Team Italy: Vinnie Pasquantino and Jac Caglianone headlined the team’s surprise run, which included an upset win over WBC-favorite Japan.

2. Team USA: America’s Shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. and Michael Wacha led their team all the way to the finals against Venezuela.

3. Team Venezuela: This team surprised the world by taking home the championship - led by Salvador Perez, Luinder Avila, and WBC MVP Maikel Garcia

4. All-Royals: This bat design features the flags, names and engraved signatures of the Royals who represented their countries at the WBC including Seth Lugo, Carlos Estevez, Salvador Perez, Luinder Avila, Maikel Garcia, Bobby Witt Jr., Michael Wacha, Vinnie Pasquantino, and Jac Caglianone.

At the Urban Youth Academy (UYA), we use baseball and softball to empower young people, helping them build confidence, grow as leaders, and see what’s possible.

The UYA provides no cost programming, camps, clinics, and educational opportunities for youth athletes on and off the field. Through clinics, leagues, tournaments, and initiatives like Nike RBI, youth gain exposure to high-level play, build confidence, and develop discipline through the game
