About The Event
You work hard, so you deserve to play hard, too. This unique women’s event at the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy features corporate teams from across Kansas City, as they compete in a three-game softball tournament, network, enjoy food and drinks, play for amazing prizes, and get an opportunity to learn more about the KCUYA’s mission. All net proceeds from the event fund girls’ softball, academic enrichment, and mental health programming at the KCUYA.
About KCUYA
The UYA empowers Kansas City's youth through baseball and softball, as well as academic and social opportunities, to be the leaders of tomorrow. The Academy provides a positive and inclusive environment for underserved youth where they feel safe and supported. The UYA uses the power of baseball and softball to teach life-skills like teamwork, leadership and resilience that will help both on and off the field. Ultimately, the UYA builds a strong foundation for participants to acquire important skills and experiences that can lead to individual success.
