Dikembe Mutombo would appreciate this taunting finger wag Pirates fans did in a rival player's face

We mere mortals cannot reach the same level of accomplishment as professional athletes, given their physical conditioning, mental fortitude and so on.

In that vein, Wednesday's Brewers-Pirates game at PNC Park presented a scenario you don't see very often. It was a sequence in which a pack of young Pirates fans in left field caught a home run from Jacob Stallings, despite the best efforts of Milwaukee outfielder Trent Grisham, who came close to catching it himself.

But he didn't. And these kids were very quick to remind him of that.

That's a pretty powerful gesture from those young fans. In an instant, they were transformed from regular fans at the ballpark on a Wednesday evening into NBA Hall of Fame legend Dikembe Mutombo at his fiercest, smashing a basketball into the crowd and triumphantly telling the would-be scorer, "No, no, no! Not on my watch."

Of course, at the end of the day, Grisham's on a Major League Baseball team and the kids ... well, they're not. They may be in the future. Who can say for sure? They did get a sweet souvenir from the game, though.

If they get there, this very same scenario could play out with them on the receiving end of the vaunted Mutombo Finger Wag. That'd be fun.
