April 28: RHP Taijuan Walker activated; RHP Ricardo Pinto DFA'd
Pinto was designated for assignment after posting a 10.97 ERA across 10 2/3 innings of long relief. He rejoined the Phillies in February as a Minor League free agent.

Walker came off the injured list to start on Sunday against the Padres. He made three Minor League rehab appearances to build a foundation, tossing 102 pitches in his final outing. Walker's Spring Training was cut short because of a right shoulder impingement.

Ortiz is experiencing tightness in his right shoulder, following a couple rehab appearances with Single-A Clearwater. The Phillies have paused his rehab as a result. “We don’t think it’s anything, but we’re just taking it easy on him,” Phillies manager Rob Thomson said. Ortiz is on the IL because he sprained his left ankle leaping for a high chopper in his March 30 big league appearance. (Last updated: April 30)
