Missed six games (9/24-30) after getting hit by a pitch from Tommy Nance (9/24 at Chicago Cubs)... Was HBP in 9 of his first 25 games with a plate appearance (4/4-5/27)...Batted .364 (20-55) with 2 HR & 10 RBI in August and led the Cardinals in batting, on-base (.453) and slugging (.618)... Ran off a career-best eight game hitting streak (5/18-26)... Hit two triples at PIT (8/25) becoming the first Cardinal with two triples in a game since Matt Carpenter (2016). 2021 POSTSEASON: Started at shortstop in the Wild Card game at the Los Angeles Dodgers and played eight innings before being replaced by Paul DeJong. Was 0-for-4 in the game with a strikeout.

Made the 2020 Opening Day roster for the Cardinals but did not play in a single game during the season after he was placed on the Injured List five games into the season...Was placed on the Injured List, August 4 and re-instated August 27...Played in just five games for the Aguilas in the 2020-21 Dominican Winter League, a year removed from playing in 43 games during the 2019-20 off-season. Batted .211 (4-19) with an RBI.
2020 POSTSEASON: Traveled with the team to San Diego, but was not on the Wild Card Series postseason active roster.

Had arguably his best season as a professional playing in 118 games at Memphis (AAA), posting career minor league season highs in home runs (17), RBI (62), runs (70), hits (132) and hit by pitch (16)...Played in eight games for St. Louis during the season, being recalled on July 16, then optioned on July 19, before a final recall on Sept. 2 for the remainder of the season...Recorded his first Major League hit at CIN (7/18), a pinch-hit single to right field off Jimmy Herget in the 9th inning at Great American Ballpark. Participated in early workouts and seminars as part of the Cardinals Spring Training Early Program (S.T.E.P.)...Played majority of the season with Peoria (A) where he was named a reserve Midwest League Mid-Season All-Star...Joined Palm Beach (A) in late July, but was placed on the disabled list (left wrist) on 8/1 and missed the remainder of the season...Recorded a trio of four-hit games and finished a triple short of the cycle while adding four runs scored (6/1 vs. WIS)...Selected as a reserve for the West Division squad in the Midwest League All-Star Game in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
