Grew up a huge fan of two-time American League MVP Miguel Cabrera (also from Venezuela)...Has played 172 career games at catcher, 57 at first base, three at second base, 97 at third base, 24 in left field and another 57 as a designated hitter...Is the middle child of three children. Has a younger brother named Diego and an older sister named Alejandra.

2025

Spent the majority of the season in Triple-A with the Yankees’ Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (78 games) and the Giants’ Sacramento (39)..Also played seven games for Double-A Somerset...Played 60 games at catcher, 23 at third base and 42 at designated hitter...Threw out 19 of 57 stolen base attempts (33.3%)...Hit .319 with 75 runs, 20 doubles, three triples, seven home runs, 57 RBI, 20 stolen bases and an .827 OPS in the 117 combined Triple-A games...Ranked inside Triple-A’s top 10 in batting average (.319/eighth), OBP (.406, eighth) and hits (147, tied for sixth)...Traded by the Yankees alongside RHP Trystan Vrieling, IF/OF Parks Harber and LHP Carlos De La Rosa on the July 31 trade deadline in exchange for Giants closer RHP Camilo Doval...Was batting .317 with an .839 OPS for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre at the time of the trade...Hit .322 with an .800 OPS once joining the Giants organization...Played 16 games for Tigres de Aragua in the Venezuelan Winter League.

Combined with High-A Hudson Valley and Double-A Somerset to bat .302/.375/.481 (89-for-295) with 48R, 15 doubles, four triples, 10HR, 47RBI, 33BB and 9SB in 79 games...was tied for sixth among Yankees Minor Leaguers in triples...appeared defensively in 2024 at catcher (35G/30GS), third base (23G/22GS) and left field (13GS)...threw out 21-of-103 (20.4%) attempted base stealers...Began the season with High-A Hudson Valley, hitting .332/.412/.507 (70-for-211) with 39R, 14 doubles, four triples, 5HR, 33RBI, 29BB and 7SB in 56 games...was promoted to Double-A Somerset on 6/19 and hit .226 (19-for-84) with 9R, one double, 5RBI, 14RBI, 4BB and 2SB in 23 games...Was added to the Yankees’ 40-man roster on 11/19.
