He and his wife, Paige, have a son...Paige played college softball at Siena University...In 2013, Gage played collegiate summer baseball with the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod Baseball League and was named an All-Star...Gage starred for Siena University (N.Y.) from 2012-14 and became the program's fourth-highest Major League Baseball draft pick following his junior season, when he established a then-program single-season record with 90 strikeouts...Originally drafted by the Giants in 2014. “Coming back to the organization is just a full-circle moment,” Gage said after getting called up to San Francisco in 2025. “Baseball will take you to funny places. Coming back to the team that originally drafted you, seven years later, to get to the big leagues is amazing.”

Signed an MiLB deal with SF on July 2 after spending the majority of the year in the Tigers organization...Did not allow a run in six games (5.2 IP) with the Tigers...Was 1-1 with a 1.67 ERA (six ER, 32.1 IP) with Triple-A Toledo...Was 2-0 with one unearned run allowed in 5.1 innings for Triple-A Sacramento before joining SF on July 18, coming out of the break...Went 0-1 with a 3.91 ERA (11 ER, 25.1 IP), 24 strikeouts and a 1.50 WHIP in 27 games (two starts) for the Giants...Served as the opener twice for SF...Worked two hitless, scoreless innings with two strikeouts in the two starts...Allowed nine of his 19 inherited runners to score after joining SF...Had an 8.44 ERA (10 ER, 10.2 IP) over his last 14 outings dating to Aug. 21 (17 hits, six walks, 11 strikeouts, .354 BAA)...Has not allowed a home run in his last 33.2 innings dating to June 11, 2023...Became the first wearer of No. 93 in Giants history...No. 93 is the highest player-worn uniform number in the SF era, passing No. 87 (worn by RHP Dan Otero in 2012).

2023

Claimed off of waivers by Houston on Feb. 13... Played a majority of the season with Triple-A Sugar Land, spinning a 1-1 record with a 4.58 ERA (19 ER/37.1 IP) in 34 relief outings... In five relief appearances across two stints with Houston, went 0-0 with a 2.70 ERA (2 ER/6.2 IP) with eight strikeouts against three walks Went 0-1 with a 2.95 ERA (6 ER/18.1 IP) in 17 home games compared to 1-0 with a 6.16 ERA (13 ER/19.0 IP) in 17 away games with Triple-A Sugar Land…held lefties to a .204 batting average with Triple-A Sugar Land, as opposed to a .337 average for righties.

2022

Was initially signed by Toronto to a minor league contract with an invitation to Major League Spring Training...appeared in four games for the Blue Jays before being reassigned to Minor League camp...Began his regular season at Triple A Buffalo, working 10 consecutive scoreless appearances to begin his season...Added to the Jays active roster on June 6 and made his Major League debut that night at KC tossing a scoreless ninth inning with two strikeouts...struck out LF Kyle Isbel for his first MLB strikeout...Had three Major League stints in 2022, making 11 appearances for the Blue Jays and posting a 1.38 ERA (2ER/13IP) and a 0.92 WHIP...all 11 of those outings came in June and July...Spent the majority of his season at Triple A Buffalo and was equally effective, going 2-2 with 12 saves and a 2.34 ERA (11ER/42.1IP) in 41 games...while with Buffalo, he allowed just a .197 opponent average and struck out 46 in 42.1 innings pitched.

2021

Combined to go 4-1 with a 4.14 ERA (21 ER/45.2 IP) and a 1.29 WHIP over 43 appearances between Double-A Amarillo and Triple-A Reno...Started the year with the Sod Poodles where he put up a 0.68 ERA across seven appearances (1 ER/13.1 IP)...Earned a promotion to Reno on May 29 and made 36 outings for the Aces to close out the year.

2020

Played for Eastern Reyes del Tigre in the Constellation Energy League in 2020, making 11 appearances (three starts) while fashioning a 3.07 ERA (5 ER/14.2 IP).

2019

Spent the 2019 season with Triple-A Mexico, going 10-4 with a 5.57 ERA (73 ER/118.0 IP) across 25 games (24 starts).

2018

In 2018, made starts with four different teams, suiting up for Richmond and Binghamton at the Double-A level, while taking the hill for Sacramento and Las Vegas in Triple-A...Combined to go 7-11 with a 5.16 ERA (59 ER/103.0 IP).

2017

Began the 2017 season in Richmond before receiving a promotion to Triple-A Sacramento...Named an Eastern League Mid-Season All-Star with Double-A Richmond.
