Was released by Texas on March 19 and ended up pitching for Trois-Rivieres in the independent Canadian-American Association…went 3-5 with two saves and a 4.75 ERA in 45 relief appearances…struck out 55 batters in 55.0 innings but also walked 34 and had a career-high 15 wild pitches.

Combined to post no record and a 4.76 ERA in 14 relief appearances with Hickory and Down East…opened season on the disabled list with a right shoulder impingement and was also on DL from July 7 through the end of season, with right shoulder tendinitis…limited opponents to .197/.347/.246/.593 slash line.

Combined to go 2-6 with a 6.61 ERA and one save over 36 relief appearances with Hickory and Down East…opened the season at Hickory and averaged 14.3 strikeouts per nine innings and 3.3 walks per nine innings over 12 outings…compiled a 1.98 ERA with 23 strikeouts and five walks over final 10 outings with the Crawdads…was promoted to Down East on May 31…was 0-1 with a 6.35 ERA in nine relief appearances with the Surprise Saguaros in the Arizona Fall League.
