Began the season at Triple-A Las Vegas and was batting .322 with 17 home runs, 77 RBI and a 1.017 OPS in 71 games when the A's called on July 22…hit .309 with four home runs, 14 RBI and an .866 OPS in 42 games in his Major League debut... His batting average with the A's was second best in the Majors among rookies with 50 or more plate appearances to teammate Jacob Wilson (.311)…had the fifth best slugging percentage (.543) and OPS (.866)... Using the 50 plate appearance minimum, his batting average was 10th best in the Majors among all players...
