Evan resides in Glendale, Ariz... Graduated from Lewisville HS (S.C.) in 2016...Attended College of Charleston from 2016-18, where he went 16-7 with a 3.69 ERA (84 ER in 204.2 IP) with 162 strikeouts in 47 games (32 starts)…went 10-3 with a 2.96 ERA in 2018, ranking tied for seventh in the NCAA Division 1 in wins...he was teammates there with Minnesota’s Bailey Ober.

Named an International League postseason All-Star in 2024, when he led all Triple-A pitchers (min. 50 games) in ERA (1.57) and WHIP (1.03), ranked second in opponents’ average (.166) and K/BB ratio (3.12), third in K/9 (12.72), tied for fourth in strikeouts (81) and fifth in saves (15)...Held left-handed batters to an .093 average (8-for-86) and right handers hit .221 (25-for-113)...Was one of two pitchers in all of Minor League Baseball in 2024 to record at least 50 appearances and not allow a home run...Enters 2025 with an active streak of 69 homerless innings since he last allowed one on Aug. 26, 2023.

Was acquired by Kansas City with RHP Steven Cruz for OF Michael A. Taylor on Jan. 23...was invited to Major League Spring Training but spent the season with Triple-A Omaha, pitching in 58 games.

2022

Earned Minnesota MiLB.com Organization All-Star honors as a relief pitcher in 2022 after posting a 1.57 ERA (11 ER in 63.0 IP) with 76 strikeouts against 29 walks across 50 appearances for Double-A Wichita (19 games) and Triple-A St. Paul (31)...Held left-handed batters to a .085 (9-for-106) average, compared to .236 (26-for-110) vs. righthanded batters…overall, opponents hit .162...Began season with Double-A Wichita, starting season with eight straight scoreless appearances (11.1 IP)...He was promoted to Triple-A St. Paul on June 13 and allowed just four earned runs in final 20 appearances (22.2 IP) from July 30-Sept. 27...Ranked second on St. Paul’s staff in games (31), despite starting season at Wichita...ranked third on staff with an 11.2 K/9 (min. 25.0 IP).
