Born in Willemstad, Curaçao and grew up rooting for the Atlanta Braves...The club later signed his brother, Ardley, and fellow countryman Andruw Jones. Wears No. 74 because that is his house number in Curaçao. Kenley’s older brother, Ardley, played seven seasons in the Braves system (2000-06) as an outfielder, reaching as high as Double-A in 2004...Ardley also played two seasons for San Marino in the Italian Baseball League (2009-10). As a child, Kenley played with Andrelton Simmons, who has played 11 seasons in the majors with ATL (2012-15), LAA (2016-20), MIN (2021) and CHC (2022).
