Minor League Baseball has been around since the 1870s and its teams have been celebrating championships for nearly 100 years across the U.S. and Canada, writing their names into the baseball history books each autumn. 'Fought for each other like a family': Marlins' Triple-A club secures title

Oftentimes, sports fans say, “defense wins championships.” But for the Triple-A Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, it was pitching that delivered the title.

For the first time since rejoining Triple-A in 2021, Jacksonville lifted the International League trophy, securing its first championship as an affiliate at the Minors' highest level since 1968, and its first in franchise history under the Jumbo Shrimp name.

The deciding Game 3 against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre left little doubt out of the gate. Jacksonville struck for five runs in the opening frame, fueled by a two-run double from Matthew Etzel (MIA No. 29), an RBI single by Jared Serna and a two-run knock from Jack Winkler.

On the back of home runs by Ryan Lasko (ATH No. 17) and Luke Mann, the Athletics affiliate rode a dominant performance from its bullpen on Wednesday night to capture the Pacific Coast League championship with a 7-3 win over the Tacoma Rainiers at Las Vegas Ballpark.

Mets' Double-A affiliate caps historic season with Eastern League title

Double-A Binghamton's record-setting season just got even more memorable.

After racking up a franchise-best 90 wins in the regular season, the Rumble Ponies put the perfect bow on top by winning the Eastern League championship for the first time since 2014. Binghamton became the second Mets affiliate to win a title following High-A Brooklyn's South Atlantic League crown last week.

Birmingham reigns again.

For the second straight year, the Double-A Barons are Southern League champions after outlasting the Montgomery Biscuits, 6-3, in a decisive Game 3 of the Championship Series that endured a pair of rain delays and took 19 hours and 40 minutes of real time to complete at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium on Thursday.

Texas League champions
Cardinals' Double-A affiliate rolls to first Texas League title since 2012

Staring down elimination and a two-game sweep in the Texas League Championship Series, Double-A Springfield's record-setting season appeared destined to be nothing more than a footnote. But the Cardinals finished with the best record on the circuit for a reason and rose to the occasion in the final two games.

Spurred on by a come-from-behind win in Game 2, Springfield blitzed Midland early and often en route to a 13-1 win in the finale and its first Texas League crown since 2012. The Cardinals outscored the RockHounds, 17-1, over the final 14 innings of the series after falling behind, 3-0, in the fifth inning of the second game.

Tigers' High-A affiliate rolls to first Midwest League title since 2015

High-A West Michigan finished off its historic 2025 season in the most appropriate of ways.

Having recorded the highest winning percentage by a Minor League club in nearly 30 years during the regular season, the Whitecaps kept the good times rolling straight through the playoffs. West Michigan polished off a perfect 4-0 postseason mark with a 3-1 win over Cedar Rapids at Veterans Memorial Stadium to capture its first Midwest League crown since 2015.

Mets' High-A affiliate overcomes upheaval to win South Atlantic League title

The Brooklyn Cyclones' 2025 season was a tale of two halves.

No team in the South Atlantic League was more dominant in the first half of the season than the Mets' High-A affiliate. After a string of promotions and roster changes, the Cyclones had their fair share of struggles later on.

But in the end, Brooklyn showcased the potential again by claiming its first South Atlantic League championship with a 2-1 win over Hub City on Tuesday at Fifth Third Park to cap a perfect 4-0 postseason run.

2025 Draft class propels Guardians' Single-A affiliate to Carolina League title

Just over two months into their professional careers, 13 members of the Guardians’ 2025 Draft class can already call themselves champions.

On Wednesday, Single-A Lynchburg claimed its first Carolina League title since 2017, and Cleveland’s most recent draftees had their fingerprints all over the triumph.

The club’s 8-2 win over Columbia in decisive Game 3 at Segra Park featured contributions from eight 2025 draftees, who combined for 12 hits and all eight RBIs. Fifth-rounder Riley Nelson led the charge from that group. The Vanderbilt product collected three knocks, including a two-run homer in the first inning that put the Hillcats up early. Nelson finished the playoffs with eight hits over five games, accumulating a .941 OPS.

Tigers' Single-A affiliate sweeps through playoffs to first title since 2012

René Rivera’s inaugural season as Single-A Lakeland's manager was one to remember.

The former 13-year big league backstop -- who took home Florida State League Manager of the Year honors earlier in the day -- completed a dominant first season at the helm by leading the Flying Tigers to a postseason sweep en route to its first title since 2012.

The decisive Game 2 victory, a 9-2 triumph over Daytona on Thursday at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium, was delayed due to weather, but that didn't faze Lakeland's bats.
