Jefferson Rojas is apparently a big fan of hitting in June.
MLB.com's No. 78 overall prospect put together a solid April, posting a .283 average with an .892 OPS. He dropped down to .225 and slugged just .348 for the month of May. But his production in June has been at a whole other level.
And in the middle of his red hot run, Rojas launched two homers and tied a career high with five RBIs in Double-A Knoxville's 10-4 victory over Birmingham on Wednesday at Regions Field.
The top Cubs prospect went deep to left field in his first two trips to the plate of the night off right-hander Gabe Davis (CWS No. 24), giving him 13 homers this season. Rojas added a run-scoring single against lefty Liam Paddack in the sixth.

It marked the second multihomer outing for the 21-year-old infielder in less than three weeks, and he's compiled a .386/.424/.699 slash line for a 1.123 OPS this month. In the past 10 games, Rojas has four homers while hitting .419 with a 1.168 OPS.
Signed as an international free agent out of the Dominican Republic before the 2022 season, Rojas made a quick impact a few months later. He hit .303 in 45 games in the Rookie-level Dominican Summer League. The Cubs have promoted him aggressively, making him the youngest regular at age 18 in the Single-A Carolina League in 2023, the second-youngest batting qualifier at 19 in the High-A Midwest League in 2024 and the second-youngest everyday player in the Double-A Southern League at 20 when he got there last July.
The results have been something of a mixed bag offensively. Rojas hit just .164 in his first 39 games with the Smokies to end the 2025 campaign and returned there to start this season. After the sluggish May, he's gotten hot with a league-best seven homers this month and is on pace to post career highs across the board.
