Since its inception in 2005, the Detroit Tigers Foundation has awarded more than $26 million in grants, Tigers tickets and college scholarships throughout the State of Michigan, northern Ohio and southern Ontario, Canada. Grants have helped refurbish more than 70 youth ballfields, established three annual college scholarships, and fund Tiny Tigers, an annual t-ball and junior baseball program for more than 600 children. This is all made possible through the generosity of the Tigers organization, its fans, players and partners. Support the Foundation's mission today, with a tax-deductible on-line donation!

Support the Foundation
The Detroit Tigers Foundation's signature fundraiser, Keeping Kids in the Game, supports children's health and youth baseball. Tigers first baseman, Miguel Cabrera hosted the 11th annual event presented by Delta Air Lines. The event benefited Children's Foundation, the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, the Detroit Tigers Foundation, an affiliate of Ilitch Charities, and the Miguel Cabrera Foundation, a charity established by Rosangel and Miguel Cabrera.
During the sold-out event, guests had exclusive ballpark and field access, including self-guided tours of the home clubhouse and watched a private firework show. Guests also enjoyed live entertainment, extraordinary auction items, strolling dinner, drinks and cigars.
As a result, more than $200,000 was raised to support children's health and youth baseball!
In addition, more than 200 patients and family members from Children's Hospital of Michigan and C.S. Mott Children's Hospital enjoyed a special night at Comerica Park that included meeting and greeting Tigers players. The patients and their families were entertained by the Tigers Party Patrol, played games and enjoyed the Fly Ball Ferris Wheel before touring the home clubhouse and visiting the field!

Online Fundraisers

In an effort to support the greater Detroit community, Tigers players partner with the Detroit Tigers Foundation in a program called Autographs for a Cause. Through this program, players sign baseball cards in exchange for a donation to the Detroit Tigers Foundation, the club's official charity. Tigers players match donations made, and funds raised are donated to charitable organizations to support causes identified by the players. Fans should keep in mind there is some risk involved in putting an item in the mail. Although reasonable precautions will be taken, the Detroit Tigers organization, its players, staff and Foundation are not responsible if an item is lost or damaged.
