June 11: to miss rest of Twins series with strained left calf
Manager Bud Black indicated that Díaz was “feeling better” and would remain on the active roster, though he wasn’t likely to play in either of the last two games against Minnesota. After the Rockies’ day off Thursday, the team will reassess the injury on Friday.

“Keith [Duggar, head athletic trainer] and the guys are optimistic,” Black said. “But as you know, calves are dicey.”

Díaz was injured in the top of the first inning of Monday’s game at Minnesota. He pulled up while trying to run out a ground ball. Jacob Stallings replaced him at catcher in the bottom of the first.

10-DAY/15-DAY INJURED LIST

2B (left hamstring strain)
Expected return: TBD
Manager Bud Black said Monday the injury is a "mild strain” and while he doesn’t think Rodgers will spend the minimum time on the IL, he doesn’t expect his return to be delayed much further. Rodgers and the Rockies believe he avoided extensive damage by slowing down as soon as he felt the grab while running to first on a sacrifice bunt attempt on June 7. (Last updated: June 10)

RHP (right shoulder strain)
Expected return:
Mid-June
Lawrence threw 25 to 30 pitches on June 10 at Target Field. Manager Bud Black said it “went well” and that Lawrence would join Triple-A Albuquerque to begin a rehab assignment later this week.

Lawrence is working on the mechanics that will get him to his best location and movement. He said that resting and strengthening the shoulder is part of the process.

“Taking a break, for anybody, can help,” Lawrence said. “It’s a 162-game season and it’s hard for anybody to do that at this level. I take pride in trying to do that. But the flip side is this, you get an opportunity to see the game from a different lens and use that information when you get back. I want to get back better and get back in the strike zone.” (Last updated: June 10)

INF/OF (left rib contusion)
Expected return
: June 14
Manager Bud Black said Bryant was “doing better, progressing,” but there was no immediate return on the schedule. Bryant, who has made seven trips to the IL since signing with the Rockies during Spring Training 2022, is frustrated and wants to return as soon as possible. The Rockies hoped he would return before the current road trip. By keeping him home for treatment and strengthening, the hope is he can return when the team returns home. (Last updated: June 10)

OF (low back strain, left knee)
Expected return: TBD
Jones went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs in an injury rehab game for Triple-A Albuquerque at Sacramento. There initially was a belief that Jones could rejoin the team on June 10 at Minnesota, but the club is not pushing that timeline after discussions with Jones. Before sustaining a back injury to go on the IL, and a knee injury during his initial rehab assignment, Jones was batting .170 with one home run and seven RBIs in 26 Major League games. He's 6-for-23, but with three extra-base hits and five RBIs in six injury rehab games but needs a little more time to find his proper swing. (Last updated: June 9)

Expected return:
TBD
Veen, 22, who was off to a solid start at Double-A Hartford until he sustained back soreness on May 18, is doing baseball activities and hitting against live pitching on the fields at the team's complex in Scottsdale, Ariz. Beyond the back strain, Veen has been working through a left thumb ailment. It should be a few days before he begins a rehab assignment designed to get him in the Hartford lineup. RHP (right elbow inflammation)

Bouchard was on crutches in the Rockies clubhouse after sustaining the injury in the eighth inning on June 5. But cautions early indications are the injury will cost Bouchard days, rather than weeks. (June 6)

OF (broken left hand, Rockies No. 4 prospect)
Expected return: Late June or early July
Beck was called up on April 30 for his Major League debut, and he was going through the ups and downs of being a rookie before sustaining a broken left hand while making a diving catch on May 25. Dr. Donald Sheridan performed surgery on May 29 to insert a plate in the hand to aid in healing. Manager Bud Black gave a timeline of 4-6 weeks. (Last updated: May 29)

60-DAY IL

LHP (left elbow strain)
Expected return: Mid-to-late June
Freeland will continue his rehab stint with a start Wednesday for Triple-A Albuquerque. He threw two scoreless innings with one hit and two strikeouts in his first injury rehab game against the Royals in the Arizona Complex League on June 8. RHP (Tommy John surgery)
Expected return: TBD
Senzatela had what he termed a “touch-and-feel” bullpen session on June 8 at Busch Stadium. Going into the season, it was touch-and-go whether he could be ready to return to the big club, given that his surgery occurred in early July of last season. But with a smooth recovery, Senzatela and the Rockies believe he can make some Major League appearances this year. (Last updated: June 8)

RHP (Tommy John surgery)
Expected return: Around midseason
On June 7, Márquez faced hitters at the team’s complex in Scottsdale, Ariz., in the blazing heat. Team officials will meet with Márquez in the coming days to plan the next step, which could be the beginning of his injury rehab assignment. (Last updated: June 7)

RHP (right forearm)
Expected return: 2025
Bard, who tore the meniscus in his left knee while playing catch prior to Spring Training and underwent surgery, had a setback rehabbing and will undergo season-ending surgery on his right arm on May 1. The Rockies placed him on the 60-day IL to add LHP Ty Blach to the active roster.

Bard, 38, is in the final year of a two-year, $19 million contract. Bard has said he would like to return after a year of rehab, but he will see how he feels and consult his family before committing to pitching again. Read more >> (Last updated: April 21)
