What’s Happening This Week at Citizens Bank Park: Phillies vs. Nationals, August 3–6
The Phils are back to kick off August with a four-game series against the Washington Nationals, on Monday, August 3, to Thursday, August 6, at Citizens Bank Park. Here’s a look at the highlights surrounding the first series of this homestand:
Escape to paradise during Margaritaville Night on Monday, August 3, at 6:40 p.m. Features a performance by Jimmy and The Parrots behind Section 148 from 4:40–6:10 p.m.*Gate openings: 3B/LF 4:40 p.m.; all other gates 5:10 p.m.*
- Donate school supplies at the entrance gates and help stock classrooms for the upcoming school year, held in partnership with the Jesús Luzardo Family Foundation and Phillies/IBX Give Back. As an added thank you, those who donate will receive a voucher for a special ticket discount to a future Phillies game. Wish list items include notebooks, No. 2 pencils, crayons, dry-erase markers, large erasers, composition notebooks, copy paper, pocket folders, Post-it® Notes, glue sticks, colored pencils, index cards, hand sanitizer, tissues and gallon-sized Ziploc®
- Chevrolet vehicles will be on display at the Third Base Plaza and The Yard throughout the series.
- At the end of the 3rd inning, Philadelphia Fire Department Lt. Teddy Santiago and his K9 partner, BG, will be honored as that night’s Toyota Hometown Hero.
The Phillies will take on the Nationals at 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4. Before the game, the winners of the 2026 Phillies Carpenter Cup presented by Nike will be honored on field: Suburban One Bicentennial (softball tournament champions) and Philadelphia Catholic League (baseball tournament champions).
Gate openings: 3B/LF 4:40 p.m.; all other gates 5:10 p.m.- Philadelphia 76ers President of Basketball Operations Mike Gansey will throw a ceremonial first pitch.
- Before the game, students and recent grads are invited to go behind the scenes of baseball with the Phillies College Series Business of Sports Night presented by Temple University’s Fox School of Business. Limited tickets remain, click here to register.
On Wednesday, August 5, the Phillies will face the Nationals at 6:40 p.m. Swing into action at Pickleball Night. Plus, it’s PAL Night at the ballpark!
*Gate openings: 3B/LF 4:40 p.m.; all other gates 5:10 p.m.*- Phillies and Citizens Bank Park employees of the month will be honored on-field before the game.
- Fans 21 and over can stop by the Miller Lite Liberty Landing before first pitch for free samples of Peroni, while supplies last.
- The Surfside Good Times Roll bus will be outside the Third Base Gate with giveaways and a photo booth.
- Sample GHOST® Energy drinks before the game inside the Left Field Plaza and postgame while exiting the Left Field Gate.
- Before the game, the Police Athletic League of Philadelphia (PAL) will be recognized on-field with a check presentation. At the end of the 3rd inning, a PAL officer will be honored as that night’s Toyota Hometown Hero.
At the 6:05 p.m. series conclusion on Thursday, August 6, all fans will receive an Iowa-inspired PGW Multi-Player T-Shirt.

- 2008 World Series champion Cole Hamels will serve as a celebrity bartender at the Jim Beam Skyline Bar behind Section 317 from 4:45–5:15 p.m.
