Minor League Baseball (MiLB) is teaming up with Joe Torre Safe At Home to raise awareness, connect fans to resources, and to empower the next generation of leaders. At participating games, fans can expect giveaways like a series of six custom Joe Torre Safe At Home Topps baseball cards, video PSAs and scoreboard messages, and a chance to win a Joe Torre autographed baseball. Many Clubs will also display posters with hotline information and invite local domestic violence organizations to share resources on-site.
About Joe Torre Safe At Home
Joe Torre, together with his wife Ali, founded Joe Torre Safe At Home in 2002 with the mission to end the cycle of domestic violence and abuse through education.
Joe is known for his 60-plus-year career in baseball as a player, broadcaster, executive, and Hall of Fame manager. But behind all the success, Joe carried the hidden scars of growing up in a home where he experienced isolation, fear, and shame. As Joe came to terms with those experiences in adulthood, he was driven to ensure that every child feels safe at home.
Safe At Home helps young people build the skills and confidence they need to form healthy relationships through prevention education, counseling, early support, and youth leadership opportunities. The organization also works to raise public awareness nationwide, encouraging open conversation, reducing stigma, and helping families and communities understand how to access support when it’s needed.
At the heart of this work is Margaret’s Place, named in honor of Joe Torre’s mother. Located inside schools, Margaret’s Place offers safe, welcoming spaces where students can feel heard, supported, and empowered. Through age‑appropriate counseling and prevention programs, young people learn how to care for themselves and others, support friends in need, and ask for help—helping them feel safer and more confident at school, at home, and beyond. Since its founding, Safe At Home has reached more than 425,000 young people, families, schools, and communities.

Creating a natural connection between their work and the spirit of baseball, their work is grounded in the core values of respect, teamwork, leadership, and positive role modeling - guiding everything they do to support young people, foster resilience, and strengthen communities.
