Began collegiate career at Ventura Community College in 2017, posting a 1.17 ERA in 14 appearances...Played sophomore season at Moorpark Community College...Attended Royal High School in Simi Valley, Calif., lettering twice as a first baseman and pitcher. Tallied six wins and posted a 2.05 ERA through 18 games as a junior and senior...Selected in three separate drafts: 39th round by the Yankees in 2017, 39th round by the Nationals in 2018 and 16th round by the Marlins in 2019...Enjoys mountain biking, hiking and lifting weights in his free time.

2024

Went 3-2 with a 5.07 ERA (28 ER/49.2 IP) in 59 relief appearances during his third Major League season, walking 18 batters against 70 strikeouts...Made second career Opening Day roster...Allowed just one earned run in nine innings during the month of May (1.00 ERA), with two hits, one walk, and 10 strikeouts. Opponents went 2-for-28 (.071) against him...Reached the 70-strikeout plateau on Aug. 20 vs. ARI. Became the sixth reliever in Marlins history to record 70-ormore strikeouts in multiple seasons (also 2023), joining AJ Ramos (4x), Tanner Scott (2x), Kyle Barraclough (2x), Steve Cishek (2x), and Robb Nen (2x)...Nardi joined Tanner Scott as the only two left-handed relievers in club history to record multiple seasons of 70+ strikeouts...Was placed on the 15-day Injured List with a left elbow muscle injury on Aug. 24 (retroactive to Aug. 22). Was transferred to the 60-day IL on Sept. 7. Missed the final 35 games of the season...At the time of his IL placement, ranked fifth among NL qualifying relievers in SO/9 (12.68) and sixth in SO percentage (33.3)...Held left-handed hitters to a .181 AVG (13-for-72) with five extra-base hits while right-handed batters went 31-for-116 (.267 AVG) with 15 extra-base hits...Allowed 20 of 36 inherited runners to score (55.5 pct.).

Set career highs in innings pitched (57.1), games (63), strikeouts (73) and wins (eight) during his first full season in the Majors, going 8-1 with a a 2.67 ERA (17 ER/57.1 IP). Among relievers with 30+ inherited runners, allowed 13% to score; ranked second in MLB (behind CLE’s Nick Sandlin, 11%). Was one of four left-handed relievers on the Marlins with 70-plus strikeouts (others, Steven Okert, A.J. Puk, Tanner Scott). Marked the first time in franchise history that two or more left-handed relievers finished with 70-plus strikeouts in a season. His 52 scoreless outings ranked second in the Marlins bullpen behind Tanner Scott (60). Made first career Postseason appearance on Oct. 4 at PHI. Allowed three runs (two earned) on a three-run homer over 1.1 innings with one walk and two strikeouts. Went 5-1 at loanDepot park with a 3.72 ERA (12 ER/29.0 IP) in 32 apps. and 3-0 with a 1.59 ERA (five ER/28.1 IP) in 31 away games. Held left-handed batters to a .158 AVG (12-for-76) with three home runs and a .550 OPS, while right-handed batters hit .244 (33-for-135) with four home runs and a .725 OPS. Missed 21 games from July 4-31 with left triceps inflammation. In three rehab appearances for Triple-A Jacksonville, allowed two runs, one hit and three walks while striking out three. Returned from rehab and reinstated from 15-day IL on Aug. 1. In 22 appearances after return from IL on Aug. 1, went 2-0, 1.74 ERA (four ER/20.2 IP) and 25 strikeouts. Held batters to .200 AVG (15-for-75). Had a career-long streak of zero earned runs allowed in 20 consecutive appearances from May 2 to June 18. Allowed 12 hits, one unearned run, four walks, and struck out 26 batters in this span (0.83 WHIP). Recorded his first career save on May 7 at CHC. Tossed 1.0 scoreless inning with one strikeout to help the Marlins secure a 5-4 win. Made his first career Opening Day roster.

Andrew Nardi made 13 appearances across two for the Marlins after making his Major League debut Aug. 16 vs. San Diego...Recorded 24 strikeouts in 14.1 innings pitched, including two multi-inning appearances in which he went 4.1 total innings and allowed two runs with eight strikeouts...Set a career-high with five strikeouts on Sept. 10 vs. New York-NL. Allowed two runs on three hits (two home runs) in 2.1 innings...In 37 Minor League appearances between Double-A Pensacola and Triple-A Jacksonville, combined to go 5-2 with a 2.29 ERA (51.0 IP/13 ER), holding opponents to a .164 batting avg. and four home runs...Held right-handed hitters to 19 hits (10 extra-base hits) in 95 at-bats (.200) across the two levels. Lefties went 10-for-82 (.122) with one double.
