Kevin Parada graduated from Loyola (Calif.) High School before attending Georgia Tech...Earned first-team All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball Newspaper and was one of three finalists for the Golden Spikes Award in 2022...Set a Georgia Tech home run record (26) in 2022...Prior to the 2025 season, switched from glasses to contacts...Went to Napa during the 2023-24 offseason...Enjoys travel and loves to experience new cultures...When he was young, his mother told him he couldn't play catcher, but she eventually relented when she saw how persistent he was at the position...After being drafted, said on MLB Central that every significant moment in his life to that point had happened within 20 miles of the draft site in downtown Los Angeles...He was born and raised in nearby Pasadena, Calif....Was set on Georgia Tech instead of signing out of high school...Has a unique batting stance, leaning slightly backward with his stance slightly open and his bat over his right shoulder and away from his body, almost parallel to his back...He also raises his left elbow to partially cover his face as a timing mechanism to initiate his swing...Told Baseball America that he wants to continue Georgia Tech's legacy of catchers who played in the big leagues...Selected by the Mets in the first round (11th overall) in the 2022 First-Year Player Draft.

Spent the entire season with Binghamton...Appeared in 114 games for the Rumble Ponies and batted .214 (85-for-398) with 13 home runs, 17 doubles, one triple and 43 RBI.

2023

Played in 101 games combined with Brooklyn (A) (87 games) and Binghamton (AA) (14 games)...Missed three weeks due to a right ankle sprain...Among Mets Minor Leaguers, ranked fifth in extra-base hits (41), tied for fifth in doubles (23), tied for sixth in hits (101) and seventh in SLG (.428)...Batted .444 (4-for-9) with an RBI in the Eastern League Championship...Slugged three home runs and recorded nine RBI in 18 games with the Glendale Desert Dogs of the Arizona Fall League... Named a National League Fall Star... Was named to the Mets Organization All-Star team by MILB.com.

2022

Made his professional debut, appearing in 13 games with FCL Mets and St. Lucie.
