Andrew Marshall Brown played three seasons of baseball at Newman Smith High School in Carrollton, TX...Hit .398 while hitting 11 home runs and 15 doubles as a senior. Began his collegiate career at Paris Junior College in Paris, TX...Earned First-Team NJCAA Region 14 honors in 2005 hitting .404 with 18 home runs 55,RBI 20 doubles and 49 runs scored. Transferred to the University of Nebraska in 2006 and earned Second-Team All-Big 12 honors, hitting .298 with nine home runs and 30 RBI in 47 games. Played primarily first base. As a senior he hit .329 with 10 home runs and 44 RBI.

2013

Drove in two with a 13th-inning single against Josh Collmenter to give the Mets a 5-4 win. Hit a home run in consecutive at-bats over two games, May 11 vs. Pittsburgh (off Tony Watson) and June 20 at Atlanta (off Mike Minor), a pinch-hit shot...The games were 40 contests apart, and the last major leaguer to hit consecutive home runs in that many games apart was Bo Jackson in 1990. Spent the majority of the season with Colorado Springs (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League where he was named to the All-Pacific Coast League's postseason All-Star team as well as the League's mid-season All-Star squad...Was with the Rockies on two separate occasions: July 17-August 2 and August 19 through the end of the year...Played in 27 of Colorado's 32 games from September 1 until the end of the season...Twelve of his 26 hits went for extra-bases: seven doubles, five home runs...Connected for his first major league home run on August 25 at Chicago (off Manny Corpas)...His five home runs from August 25 through the end of the year were the second most on the team behind Wilin Rosario (eight home runs)...With Colorado, he played 12 games (nine starts) in leftfield and 29 games (24 starts) in rightfield...Had three outfield assists...Had 98 RBI in 100 games for Colorado Springs...Led his team in home runs, RBI and slugging percentage.

2011

Began the season at Triple-A Memphis in the Cardinals organization before having his contract selected to the Major League roster on 6/12/11 and making his Major League debut that day...Appeared in 11 games for the 2011 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals, batting .182 (4-for-22) with 1 double, 3 RBI and 1 run scored...played right field in all seven of his games played in the field...Had a career-high 2 hits and 2 RBI on 6/19 vs. KC...notched his first career extra-base hit (a double) in his last Major League game on 6/26 vs. TOR...Was optioned back to Triple-A on 6/26, where he would spend the remainder of the season...Batted .284 (102-for-359) with 12 doubles, 3 triples, 20 home runs and 73 RBI in 107 games for the Red Birds...2011 was his first experience at the Triple-A level...Named to the Pacific Coast League Mid-Season All-Star team...hit .324 (70-for-216) with 9 doubles, 3 triples, 14 home runs and 45 RBI prior to the All-Star break...batted .224 (32-for-143) after the All-Star break.

2010

Named the Texas League Player of the Week twice, once for 4/8-18 when he batted .289 (13-45) with 4 homers and 14 RBI and again for 8/23-29 when he batted .438 with 4 homers and 6 RBI...went 3-5 on 4/18 with 2 HR (incl. his first career GS and 7 RBI...topped all Cardinals minor leaguers with a .897 OPS and third in both homers (22) and slugging percentage (.526)...tied for fourth in the TL in homers and ranked third in slugging percentage...tied for best HR/AB ratio (1/16.41) with teammate Steven Hill.

2009

Named Texas League Player of the Week for 8/24-30 batting .464 (13-28) with 5 HR and 10 RBI...spent the entire season at Double-A Springfield.

2008

In his first full professional season he began the year in Single-A Quad Cities before being moved up twice and finishing the season at Double-A Springfield...played 34 games at Quad Cities, 24 games at High-A Palm Beach and 68 games in Springfield...combined to hit 21 home runs and 32 doubles in 126 games between the three stops.

2007

Selected to play in the New York-Penn League All-Star Game and doubled in two at-bats off the bench...spent the entire season at Short-Season Batavia.
