Played at three different levels throughout the year, starting in the Arizona Summer League for seven games, before moving up to Cedar Rapids (A) for 32 games and finishing the season at Inland Empire (High-A) for the final 11 games of the season...suffered a broken knee cap from a foul ball during Spring Training, putting him on the disabled list until 7/10 when he started playing for the Arizona League Angels... finished the season compiling a combined .256 BA with 12 doubles, 7 triples, 3 HR and 25 RBI.
2010
Suffered injuries stemming from a torn ligament and a broken left wrist while diving for a ball... despite playing in only 53 games for Cedar Rapids (A), still ranked T5th on the team in doubles (19), T6th in triples (4) and T5th in home runs (7).
2009
Played in 53 games for the AZL Angels, starting 39 games in LF, 13 in CF and 5 in RF...led the league in hits (76), triples (10) and at-bats (236)...ranked 2nd in RBI (53), extra base hits (30) and total bases (13)...also ranked in batting (10th, .322), slugging percentage (5th, .551) and runs (3rd, 47)...hit safely in 39-of-53 games with 23 multi-hit games...posted first multi-HR game vs. AZL Indians (8/17)...went 6-for-7 with 4 RBI and 3 doubles in an 18-3 rout of the AZL Rangers (7/5)...raced out two triples twice (7/3 at Royals & 7/31 vs. Indians)...posted 11 multi-RBI games with five games with 4 or more RBI, knocking in a season and career-best 7 RBI vs. AZL Dodgers (7/20), a game in which he hit his first professional home run...rated as the No. 5 prospect in the Arizona League by Baseball America and the No. 7 prospect in the Angels organization by Baseball America.
