Ranked as one of the Reds' top prospects per Baseball America (#6) and MLB Pipeline (#5)...Was considered by Baseball America as the best defensive infielder in the Reds organization...Participated in the annual Spring Breakout Game during Spring Training...Played for Santurce in the Puerto Rican Winter League.

Missed all of the regular season recovering from March 20 surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder...Played for Glendale in the prestigious Arizona Fall League (18 G, .253/.309/.333, 19-for-75, 7 SB).
